Dr. Alfred Kraxenberger will strengthen the Management Board of Papierfabrik Louisenthal GmbH and be responsible for a new position covering technology and innovation from January this year. His remit will include research and development, technology, project management relating to industrialization, and the field of strategic technology marketing. The holder of a doctorate in physics comes from the Munich parent company Giesecke & Devrient and has long-standing expertise in the international banknote business.
“We are delighted that Dr. Alfred Kraxenberger has agreed to take on this role. We have worked closely together for many years and I value his extensive experience in quickly turning technological innovations into marketable products,” emphasizes Dr. Wolfram Seidemann, Chairman of the Louisenthal Management Board.
Dr. Kraxenberger started his career in 1996 as a software engineer at G&D. After various managerial roles, in 2006 he became Head of Product Management and Support for banknote processing systems. Dr. Kraxenberger played an important role in the development and successful market launch of the new generation of modular machines. One example of this is the successful BPS M7 model. He has also been in charge of the division’s security features business for the last two years.
Louisenthal delivers banknote paper and high-security foils to over 100 countries worldwide. The company has two production sites, Louisenthal in Bavaria and Königstein in Saxony.
