Markus Hartmann, CEO of HJP Consulting, participated in a panel discussion underlining the importance of a practical focus of Software Engineering studies. The event was organized by S-Lab (Software Quality lab of University of Paderborn) as part of the Open Day at the University. Representatives from S-Lab and local industry partners provided students with insights of their positive experience from the collaboration between companies and the University. Students may benefit tremendously from this collaboration through the opportunity of writing a master thesis on behalf of a company or finding a job in an industry project in parallel to their studies.

HJP will also participate as a sponsor in the upcoming Open Day event at S-Lab, featuring a presentation of ongoing projects from S-Lab’s collaboration with the industry as well as a panel discussion and award ceremony. The event takes place on July 8th 2010. S-Lab has been a partner of HJP regarding the development of methodologies and tools, for example in the area of acceptance testing of eID systems.
