Kick off the ID solutions year with Omnicard – Google’s security guru presents keynote

OMNICARD has stood the test of time. Now in its twenty-first year, this exclusive conference continues to provide valuable information and numerous opportunities for discussion and networking at the highest level. The programme committee has once again excelled in producing a highly attractive programme, which will bring together leading players in the fields of industry, research and politics for three days of animated debate in Berlin. The conference remains faithful to its motto, “The world of smart ID solutions”, and in 20 forums, 10 workshops and tutorials, and 2 panel discussions will provide a range of insights into current developments regarding secure applications on the basis of electronic identities.

Keynote addresses on major issues The Federal Ministry of the Interior will act as patron of OMNICARD. The conference will be opened by a representative of the Ministry. Two keynote addresses by prominent political and business leaders: Federal Government Commissioner for Information Technology, State Secretary Cornelia Rogall-Grothe, will speak about the Federal Interior Ministry’s IT and network policies.

Google Management Director Sam Srinivas will reveal his company’s latest plans in a paper entitled “Universal 2nd Factor: Easy strong authentication across the web”.
