Oliver Winzenried, CEO and Founder of Wibu-Systems spoke at this years Hannover Messe, (April 13 -17 201 about how manufacturers can protect their production data in the age of Industry 4.0. This model was first presented at the German IT Summit 2014 as the collaborative result of four German companies united by a single purpose: Bringing security “Made in Germany” to Industry 4.0.

In this short film, Winzenried explains more about the joint development and the role of the partners: the data network is supplied by Deutsche Telekom, the routers are from Hirschmann, the security controllers embedded inside the CmSticks as well as the Trusted Platform Modules found in the routers that come from Infineon Technologies.

Oliver Winzenried, CEO and Founder of Wibu-Systems, explained, “Data security is a priority for the success of Industry 4.0. The recent cyber-attacks have shown how paramount sophisticated concepts are in the safeguard of product know-how from tampering. Our demonstrator shows manufacturers a secure end-to-end communication, developed by Germany’s leading industrial vendors. The goal of this cooperation is to offer small and medium enterprises a practical approach to intelligent interconnected production.
